Meet The Board

Founder
Founder of Something Greater ministries which seeks to serve God by creating opportunities for people to encounter God through prayer, Scripture study, community, and the teachings, traditions and spirituality of the Catholic Church, for the transformation of our daily lives and our world. And also founder of the Georgetown Women's Bible Study, an Interdenominational Women's Scripture Study Group, I have taught the Bible for over 30 years.
I am a convert to Catholicism, I was chosen to speak at the 2017 National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. to Congressional Spouses and to women from all of the 50 States, I have been chosen as one of twelve representatives to attend the USCCB Convocation of Catholic Leaders in Orlando, Florida in July, 2017, and am a part of a group called Catholic Voices, USA, my blog is called something greater and I am a contributor to LIFEZETTE news: news http://www.lifezette.com/author/melissaovermyer/ I served on the board of Walking With Purpose Catholic Women's Bible Study. I have been trained to be a part of the Christian Healing Prayer Ministry by Francis MacNutt. I am an artist, author, and speaker. I live in Washington DC with my husband Dale and four lovely daughters.

Co-founder
Maribeth Harper began as a professional writer 35 years ago, working in Washington DC for a national telecommunications publishing house. More recently, she has co-chaired the Something Greater Ministry, for which she edits and writes; edited for a national women’s bible study program, Walking with Purpose; and provided website development and consulting for a variety of mission-based clients. She spent six years working with adolescent girls in Catholic faith formation programs and eight years as the co-chair and business manager of the largest fashion show on the East coast – Pure Fashion, which promotes modesty among high school girls. She speaks to women at retreats and bible studies on topics of prayer and family life. She has four grown children, four grandchildren, and lives in Maryland with her husband of 33 years, Denis.

Kathryn Jones Hanley, board member - Something Greater is the Coordinator of the Georgetown Women's Bible Study and chairs the Board of the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing in Washington DC.
